| Emergencies Please call our office as soon after the accident as possible,
and we will see your child immediately. If a permanent tooth is knocked out, please do not
wash it. If possible, replace the tooth in the socket. If this is impossible, keep the
tooth moist in milk. Call our office immediately. The first 30 minutes are critical.
Children are frequently subject to accidents. In
order to accommodate an injured child, our schedule may sometimes be delayed. Please
accept our apologies ahead of time should this occur during your appointment. Understand
we will do exactly the same if your child is ever in need of emergency care.
If dental emergencies occur after routine hours,
please call the office number 467-7797. Our answering service will page Dr. Brown or the
pediatric dentist on call. On weekends, the practice belongs to a group of pediatric
dental specialists who rotate calls for emergencies.
Infection
Control
Our sterilization procedures comply with the
standards developed by the Center for Disease Control, the American Dental Association,
and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The effectiveness of our
sterilization protocol is independently monitored on a regular basis. The use of
disposable items is another way we maintain a sanitary and safe environment. Gloves are
worn by all persons who have direct patient contact. We are very proud of our
sterilization protocol and want you to feel comfortable when visiting our office.
Payment
Policy
We do ask that the fee for the first visit be paid on
the day of the visit. Please be aware that the person bringing the child to our office is
legally responsible for payment of all charges. We cannot send statements to other
persons. Payment is requested in full for each appointment as service is rendered and can
be made by cash, check, credit card or approved financial institution. Our Business Staff
is skilled at helping parents schedule their children's dental appointments to fit around
a budget. However, we are not able to provide an extended monthly payment plan. For our
patients with dental insurance, we will be happy to help you receive the maximum benefits
available under your insurance policy. For further treatment, we will require a payment of
25% until the treatment is complete. |
